Welcome to StayTribe. This website, located at www.staytribe.com.au, is owned and operated by STAYTRIBE GLOBAL PTY LTD (ACN 689 528 014 | ABN 70 689 528 014). StayTribe provides an online platform that connects hosts and guests interested in shared accommodation.
By accessing, registering and/or using our platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
1. How the Service Works
1.1 Platform Intermediary Role
StayTribe is a neutral intermediary that provides a space for users to list, browse, and connect for accommodation purposes. We do not own, manage, or operate any of the properties listed on the platform. All arrangements, including bookings and stays, are made solely between hosts and guests.
1.2 Creating Listings
Hosts may create listings that include:
- Bright, high-quality photos
- A detailed property description
- Information about current occupants
- A verified location
All listings are reviewed by StayTribe before publication to ensure they meet platform standards. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy or truthfulness of any listing content.
1.3 Booking and Payment
Guests can browse listings freely and book directly via the platform.
- Payments are securely processed and held by StayTribe until 48 hours after check-in.
- StayTribe facilitates the transaction, but is not a party to the rental agreement and does not assume responsibilityfor any outcomes of the stay.
2. Listing Verification and Moderation
All listings must:
- Include well-lit, accurate images
- Clearly describe the space and any cohabitants
- Provide a precise and verifiable address
We reserve the right to reject or remove listings that do not comply with these standards. However, StayTribe does not conduct in-person inspections and cannot guarantee the accuracy or suitability of any accommodation.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 For Hosts
- Ensure all information in the listing is accurate and regularly updated
- Do not include contact details in the listing description
- Comply with all local tenancy, rental and safety laws
3.2 For Guests
- Verify that the property meets your needs before booking
- Use your account responsibly and do not share access
- Understand that any disputes, damages, legal issues or injuries arising from your stay must be resolved directly with the host
StayTribe is not liable for any personal, financial or material damages arising from interactions or agreements made through the platform.
4. Privacy and Security
We take your data seriously. STAYTRIBE GLOBAL PTY LTD does not sell your personal information to third parties.
All communications are intended solely to support your use of the platform.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
All bookings are final. No refunds will be issued once a guest has checked in. For issues during your stay, we encourage guests to contact the host directly.
5.1 Non-Refundable Administrative Fee
In the event of a booking cancellation or if the selected room is unavailable, all payments made will be refunded to the Guest less a non-refundable administrative fee of 7% of the total booking amount. This fee covers processing costs, payment gateway charges, and administrative handling. By completing a booking through our platform, the Guest acknowledges and accepts this non-refundable fee.
6. Updates to These Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. In the case of significant changes, users will be notified at least 30 days in advance.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, STAYTRIBE GLOBAL PTY LTD disclaims any liability for:
- Misleading or false information in listings
- Disputes, damages or losses during or after the stay
- Acts, omissions or conduct of any user of the platform
Users acknowledge that all arrangements are made at their own risk and that STAYTRIBE acts only as a technology provider.
